Stereoscopy (also called stereoscopic or 3-D imaging) refers to a technique for creating or enhancing the illusion of depth in an image by presenting two offset images separately to the left and right eye of the viewer. These two-dimensional images are then combined in the brain to give the perception of 3-D depth. Besides the technique of freeviewing, which must be learned by the viewer, three strategies have been used to mechanically present different images to each eye: have the viewer wear eyeglasses to combine separate images from two offset sources, have the viewer wear eyeglasses to filter offset images from a single source separated to each eye, or have the lightsource split the images directionally into the viewer's eyes (no glasses required; known as Autostereoscopy)
How to set a wallpaper on the iPod touch, iPhone or iPad:
Select the background image preview that's appropriate for your device (eg iPhone or iPad) to view larger image.
Tap and hold the wallpaper you want to use until a pop-up menu appears, choose Save Image and it will automatically save to your "Photos" app. Go back to the initial (main) app screen of your device and choose "Photos" icon.
Choose the wallpaper image you just saved, then tap the button (a square with an arrow in it - left bottom button on iPod and iPhone, top right button on iPad) and select Use as Wallpaper.
Size the background wallpaper by manipulating it back and forth within the touch screen until you get the desired shape and size.
Then choose Set as Wallpaper to create your wallpaper (on the iPad 2 and iPhone 4 you can set the wallpaper for lock screen, home screen or both).
